Is is with great privilege and honor that we announce our new drummer, it's the co-founder of bands such as Silent Kingdom and KRV, a drummer behind kit in rock'n'roll band Snake Eater, the only and only - SEAD TAFRO!
For those who know Sejo and me, they will probably find this new arrangement completely natural and logical. Because it is.
We're starting to rehearse next Sunday with this new line-up (Johnny - guitar, Sejo - drums, Sharan - bass, vocals) and we'll hit the road as soon as we are ready for it.
No stopping us now.
As we're putting the finishing touches on our second album "Savršeni Krug", we have come to another end in Motherpig. Although it's sad and hard to accept, it's also a positive change in one way.
Our long-time and first drummer Alex has finally been able to sign to Prayner Conservatory for Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna. Alex will study, work and live in Vienna for at least 4 years from now on, which makes it impossible for Motherpig to work efficiently. On the other side, although this is a sad moment for the band, Alex managed to get his life on track with stuff he truly lives for and therefore, we cannot be anything less than very happy and proud of him. This is what he always wanted to study and when wishes like this comes true, nothing should stop you.
Yesterday I've sat down with Alex and we made a deal concerning his future involvement in Motherpig. You'll see him sharing the stage with us from now, but it will happen on really special occasions.
To make shit even harder for Motherpig, we've been kicked out of the rehearsal room alongside other bands that practiced in Sarajevo's Youth House, so we're kinda stuck because we're broke and paying for rehearsal space is out of question at the moment. Bummer.
Beside me currently being in Motherpig, Alex was a part of original line-up, he played on all of our ''analog'' releases. He's mainly responsible for Motherpig going live as well, he bored me to death to do it, so we finally did it together and never looked back.
So... what now? We'll search for another drummer and another rehearsal room. If we have some drummers around reading this, feel free to contact us via motherpig@gmail.com for any info.
Good luck, my friend... and don't come back unless you're a Lady Gaga drummer charging 179 € per rimshot.
Sharan

Few months ago, we've told you all about our upcoming cooperation with Bosnian artist Enis Čišić. Finally, an astonishing piece of art has been presented to us... and we really do think our music is an insult to this fine piece of art. It was really a natural connection between Motherpig and Enis. Around the same time, Enis got hooked up on my cyber zombie book project "AntiZombie: Dnevnik Preživjelog", and I've watched for the first time an awesome video that Enis created for Bosnian artists Basheskia & Edward EQ. He sent me his drawing which fitted the concept of AZ:DP pretty strongly, so we started talking about possible cooperation on that project. And than I thought to myself: it might be rude to say I'm gonna use this guy, but I'll sure as hell ask him not to waste time on AZ:DP, but to do something big... and instantly, Motherpig's new album came to mind. We needed impressive artwork, and there was Enis. After his solo exhibition, Atlija, Enis and me sat down for a coffee and we asked him about possible cooperation. He immediately agreed to work with us, although he never heard of a band, not listened to our songs. My first idea was a concept of Ouroboros Baby, which is basically Ouroboros, but instead of a dragon or snake, there's a baby eating its own legs. After some rethinking I've dropped it. Further brainstorming with Atlija led us to an idea of band members standing in front of Kubrick-style monolith that represents the Final truth, Life in its entirety. I informed Enis I'm a true fan of hand-drawing, so I'm not looking for any Photoshop illustrations, I would like to get b/w handdrawn illustration. But also, I never put any pressure onto him, I wanted him to create an image he likes, the way he wants to do it. Therefore, he experimented with the colors and the effect is... I'm unspeakable. Bunch of brainstorming and sketches were done. Atlija kept on sending Enis different illustrations, while Enis and I worked on details and Enis's fantastic idea was to swap monolith for colossal figure you see on the cover art. His idea are Moon phases you can see above figure's head that are symbolizing passing of time, but in circles. I've told Enis about album title and how it represents Life Cycle, but I also asked of him to use symbols of Ouroboros and Chaos Star. We're not your typical crust punk band, I have my own theories about Eternity and Chaos. Why is it engraved in the back of colossal figure that may be Mr. Life? Easy. Each life bears an amount of eternal chaos and you're the only one that can control your own life. Your own Eternity. And your own Chaos. "It took me 2 weeks to finish it starting with first round of brainstorming. I think cover looks like what I aimed for: a paused scene from a fantasy movie, a mere end where our heroes reach their final destination. I also wanted it to look like a drawing from 80's Heavy Metal comic book", explains Enis. "I used charcoal and pencil and I just tried to add colors digitally. Apparently band liked it so much they have decided to keep it that way." "I'm bonded to all Giger and Alien mythos I just can't get away from it, and you can feel it here, too, but as an inspiration for this one, Wayne Barlowe, Peter Jones, Moebius, various artists that illustrated SF books in the eighties, it all inspired this one. A bit of Motherpig's music, too, haha! Actually, I heard nonmixed version of the new album, and I think it will fit the album pretty nicely, although Sharan's pretty ashamed of it now when he got this cover art! You can hear ideas and effort in these songs, so I think this will be a really nice pack; audio-visual experience for years to come!", says Enis. I'm so thrilled by this illustration, I can't explain how much this means for me personally. Enis did a might fine job and he's more than a cool guy to get your art from. So if you're in a band, go write to him @ enis.cisic@gmail.com. Don't mention us, no discounts are available! :) So, without further ado, I give you an almighty cover art of "SAVRŠENI KRUG" by one and only ENIS ČIŠIĆ!

Well, if you've answered ''yes'' to the above question, feel free to meet Ado aka Džoni aka Johnny, our new guitar player!
This search for a man brave enough to step into Atlija's shoes and try to fill them ended up pretty quickly and personally, I can't believe how fast we've got it all working.
Teaming up with Johnny actually can be traced back to Atlija: he was the one suggesting me to call him for a rehearsal. I knew Johnny for years, casual beer'n'chat in the park, I didn't even know he was playing a guitar!
To cut the long story short, tonight, first rehearsal, two hours, five songs off the "Nojev Let" record, packed up completely with solos, intros, outros , everything.
Johnny is a terrific guitar player, more into technical aspect of playin' than Atlija, but keepin' it primitive and harsh, the way Motherpig wants it and bravely following into the footsteps of the legendary Stagg user that created our signature sound (beside my outrageous bass noise).
Shall I say a word more? Well, gig in December coming up. More info soon.
Shall I say something more? Atlija hooked up with guys from his previous band Infernal Hemeroid. They've rocked together after five years of silence. Can't wait to hear 'em live.
Oh yeah... and about the album... we're workin' on it.
JOHNNY, WELCOME TO THE FUNNY FARM!
After three awesome years, it is with mixed feelings of grief and pride that we announce we have parted ways with our guitar player Atlija. Motherpig's bassist Sharan has prepared his statements in Bosnian and English.
BOSNIAN:
Pozdrav svima,
Iako smo se vremenom izdigli iznad nivoa demo benda i moje privatne zajebancije, našu underground stranu nikad nismo i nikad nećemo zaboraviti.
Sami smo izdali svoj prvi album i sami ćemo izdati i drugi.
No ovdje se naši putevi u jednu ruku račvaju.
Konkurs ostaje otvoren sve do popune mjesta.
Do idućeg susreta, ko zna kad i ko zna gdje!
Sharan
ENGLISH:
It is with mixed feeling of grief and pride that we announced that Motherpig has parted ways with our guitar player Atlija. It's been three years of fruitful work that resulted in tours, two full lengths and friendship that will last forever.
Atlija is moving to Zagreb this month and our mutual work in Motherpig is impossible at this point. Distance between band members, financial situation and constant band costs are something that will keep us separated on the level of music creation at this point.
In no way Atlija is kicked out of the band or will never ever play with us, you'll see him on the stage with us whenever we can kick it live and he will enter the studio with us whenever he feels up to it, but at this certain point, Motherpig needs to go on, no pauses, no breaks, no hiatus can be installed upon the band. No status quo for us. Either we exist or we don't.
We're in the search for our new guitar player. It will be announced as soon as possible.
We wish all the best to our friend Atlija, without whom we would never be what we are now.
We are proud to say we're finally able to announce complete tracklist from our upcoming album "Savršeni Krug". Bear in mind the tracks might change their place a bit... maybe, just maybe.
So, here you go... "Savršeni Krug" tracklist:
1. Tišina će Pasti 2. Grobovima Ponosni 3. Borba 4. Stav 5.Vrli Novi Svijet 6. U Mehanizmu Ljubavi 7. Tebi 8. U Utrobi Vraga 9. Povratak na Kraj 10. Promjena Neće Doći 11. Smrad
Tracks 10 and 11 are actually re-recorded tracks "Nothing Ever Changes" and "The Stench" with new lyrics in Bosnian. We wanted to give this tracks place on our album since they certainly deserve it by being the first tracks written by Atlija, Alex and me.
Cheers,
Sharan
It took them three long years, but PMK Records, one of the best undeground labels in the whole region finally nailed it with Amebix Balkans, official tribute to gods of crust punk (and beautiful music in general), Amebix.
We're proud to be part of this compilation for more than one reason.
First of all, we're huge Amebix fans, and although Motherpig was not founded on Amebix basis, we were deeply influenced and became what we are today thanks to Amebix. It's a band that you like or don't like, just as Motherpig, so therefore, I personally think this is the best way to say thanks for all the music throughout the years. When Atlija and I watched Amebix perform live in 2009, we became a good friends with them and we can say we're truly blessed by this friendship - so it means even more at this certain point.
Second of all, after numerous digital downloads, tapes, CDr-s, proCDr-s, CDs, we are finally landing on vinyl and the 12'' one, which is a huge thing for us, but it also should be a huge think for Bosnian undeground scene as well (I would feel proud if I saw some Bosnian band somewhere around their favourite band tribute on vinyl). We've proved to ourselves that we can step out of our own league and play sometimes with the big boys. And it's a great feeling. Hopefully, we'll have one vinyl all for ourselves sometimes soon!
Last, but not the least, we're honored to share this precious piece of awesome plastic with some of the best bands from Balkan territory. If you've ever heard True or Panikos (among the others), you know what kind of great bands these are. So in a way, we're clinging on their greatness to finally say - fuck yeah, major league if you ask us.
So don't wait, contact PMK Records and preorder/order your 12'' copy today. Not because of Motherpig. But because of this beautiful dream that finally became reality thanks to all the great people standing, not bending a knee and fighting for it.
Hey everyone! Motherpig is currently deep into preparings for upcoming recording of our new album which tonight stops being untitled because, as we already promised on the Facebook, we will now tell you some more details about it, including the album name! Our second album will be entitled "SAVRŠENI KRUG" which, translated into English is "PERFECT CIRCLE"! Why this title? Well, we had some other on our minds, but at the very end, we've decided to work with this one. What is our perfect circle? It represents whole life and its complexity, but also Motherpig's existence. Every year we work on ourselves as human beings, but we also work on this band. Gigs, meeting new friends, working on new songs, getting pissed off because we fail to deliver the great show or being proud by ourselves for creating utter chaos on the stage , traveling around packed in small cars and vans and, in the end, new recording, new album, new end for the new beginning. It's the perfect circle we live every day, we wake up in the morning, we breathe, we go down to sleep, indulge those little slices of death, as Edgar Allan Poe would call it. Motherpig's always been a hard-working, never stopping musical output for seven years and we're going on. This album is just another milestone in our so called career which will redefine the band in best way possible. As for the cover art, we're proud to announce that this picture above is NOT our new album cover art, but we have teamed up with one of the best Bosnian artists to create our art and to complete the perfect circle. Enis Čišić, Sarajevo's motion graphic designer, cartoonist and illustrator decided to take some time to provide us a quality work like no other before which will be the face, the graphic entity which will present our album. Enis is author of work of arts shown on his first independent exhibition "Frames" and if you just take a look at his website https://www.facebook.com/enis.art (more at http://enisrip.blogspot.com/) you'll see for yourself why we've decided to BEG Enis to work with us. Without his work, this album would quite certainly be an almost perfect circle. Even better, if you want to experience Mr. Čišić's art at its best, check out animated video he did for Basheskia i Edward EQ! WORK OF FUCKING ART! As for more info concerning our album, it will be recorded first week of August, same team again, most probably eight brand new songs plus two reboots of our well-known chartbusters. HA-HA!
Hold on tight, "Savršeni Krug" will kick your ass!
Cheerios,
Sharan & Motherpig
We are deeply saddened by the fact we will not be part of this year's roster for PULJP Stonerizer Fest. As previously announced, we were scheduled to perform on second day of the festival, on July 7th. Due to financial problems, our gig has been canceled by organizer. We're regretful for not performing on this awesome festival, one of the best in the region. All hail to all the Motherpig people who wanted to come to see us, hopefully next year!
However, we're going to Vukovar on July 6th for
